About Me

My name is Eddie Lenzer, aka Sketchy Eddie. I was born and raised in Concord, NC, where I still reside today. My interest in drawing sparked when I was around 6 years old. My younger brother was fascinated with all things involving Halloween and '90s cartoons, and enjoyed coloring books with these themes. My earliest memories of drawing would be recreating his favorite characters for him to color again, and his excitement and happiness really propelled me to continue drawing.

I am, and have always been, inspired by people’s reactions and positive emotional ties to my artwork. Having the ability to put a genuine smile on someone’s face through my art is something I am extremely passionate about. To this day, bringing others joy through my artwork is the most vital part of what pushes me to keep creating.

As I became increasingly confident in redrawing page after page, I knew this was my passion. I am still totally obsessed with creating artwork. A piece I drew at 6 years old, inspired by my younger brother’s interests, ended up winning FIRST place in the Exxon Halloween Drawing Contest that year. That was a feeling like no other! It was simply amazing, and from that point forward, I have developed an obsession with drawing anything and everything related to Halloween and '90s cartoon characters. Fast forward to 20 years later, and these very themes are the ones that spawned my “Nostalgic Nightmares” collection.

As I grew older, I became even more fascinated with crazy colors and abstract shapes. These new interests eventually morphed together with my favorite '90s and Halloween themes, which is what created the style of artwork brought to you by myself; Sketchy Eddie. My ultimate goal as an artist is to spread peace, color, and joy around the world. Aside from having the innate ability to bring people happiness and make them smile, creating art enables me to connect, network, and build friendships with people worldwide. For that, I am eternally grateful. I look forward to continuing to spread my positive vibes through my artwork to those with open minds and open hearts.

Are you getting dizzy yet earthling? Don't give up you are on the home stretch !!
